General Elections: YSRCP leads TDP

Hyderabad: According to sources, it was the YSR Congress Party and the TDP that have mostly influenced the voters with alluring offerings of money and liquor to vote in favour of their respective party candidate. Of the huge sum of unaccounted Rs 133 cr recovered during the election time checking, the Income tax department and police could only establish a link between a meagre amount and political parties. As of now Rs 5.55cr has been attributed to the YSR Congress Party and Rs 5.49cr to the Telugu Desam Party giving them the first and second places, respectively.

According to sources, the influence of money was much more than what has been accounted by the officials of Income Tax Department and the Police department, so far. It is learnt that both YSR Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party have influenced the voters with varied offerings during the just concluded polls.

Whatsoever the case may be, it was not only in the elections but also in alluring the voters, the two top parties in Seemandhra were in fray during the elections. Finally, it was YSR Congress Party that led TDP in the matter of calculations of seized amount during the elections.
