New Delhi: Elated over Lok Sabha poll results, BJP leader Amit Shah today said it was victory of the people of the country which was headed for a "positive change" and India's success story will move forward so that it regains its rightful place in coming times. With BJP doing well in Uttar Pradesh which has 80 seats, Shah, who scripted BJP's stunning comeback in UP, said the performance of Congress and Samajwadi Party in the state showed that members of their two families have only managed to win. "This is the people's mandate. This is the victory of the people of India. This is India's victory. "BJP accepts this mandate to provide good governance. Meanwhile, in an unambiguous message, RSS asked the BJP, all set to assume office with Modi as Prime Minister, to set aside ideological, religious and social differences and create an environment where nation stays "united" and there is total social "inclusiveness".

"We are hopeful that everyone will now take constructive steps to get back to normal, amicable and positive environment in the interest of the nation," senior RSS leader Suresh Bhayya Joshi said in a statement. BJP has been facing flak from Congress and other parties which have accused it of trying to divide people on communal lines and ignoring the interests of Muslims and other minorities. "We are hopeful that the newly-elected government will be successful in fulfilling the people's aspirations. By setting aside the ideological, religious and social differences, we expect the new government to create an environment where nation stays united”, he said.
