Filmcircle.com, in association with North America Telugu Association (NATA), is organising a short film contest to provide a launch pad for the talented youth.

Muralimohan, actor and president, Movie Artists Association (MAA), unveiled the brochure on Tuesday and expressed that there was a lot of young talent waiting to be tapped in Andhra Pradesh, across the country and abroad.
“Young and dynamic youth must utilise this platform to showcase their films. It is indeed a great opportunity for many upcoming directors and technicians. They should use this to rise to a global platform. Opportunities will pour in once they succeed in this contest. Now-a-days people are using contests as a launchpad for success,” he said.
“A new formula which is in vogue is to make a short film and upload it onto YouTube. If people like it, the short film becomes viral. If the actors stand out in the movie, they get a chance to make it to the big screen without much effort,” added Muralimohan.
K L Prasad, noted writer; M V Raghu, director and cinematographer and Uma Maheswara Rao, award winning director, would be the committee members for the short film contest.
Prasad Mallu, Flmcircle.com and NATA coordinator, concluded, “Winners would be invited to Atlanta, USA, when NATA celebrations would be held on July 4-6. Films can be based on national integration, civic sense, corruption, relationship, friendship or love. Short films for a maximum of 8 minutes duration would only be accepted."
