Holi -- the festival of colours and celebration of love -- is tomorrow. This ancient festival has transformed into a celebration of music and dance.

This Holi season would see many events being staged from the eve of the festival and conclude late into the night on March 17. Prominent personalities like Baba Sehgal, Evelyn Sharma, Asif Iqbal and many more would be part of this year's celebrations being held at various places in Hyderabad. Hotels and resorts across the city are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that this season's Holi celebrations remain etched in the memories of participants for years to come. For the first time, the city would be hosting a 'Holi Run' for seven km near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

These events are an indication of the changing trends in the way the festival is being celebrated in the city. Music and dance have become an integral part and community celebrations are the new feature. Holi 2014 would witness over 15 such music and dance events being staged in the city. MeraEvents.com, India's premier events listing and ticketing company has seen over a 100% growth in number of listings for this season when compared to last year. Naidu Darapaneni, founder & CEO, MeraEvents, sharing his perspective on this changing trend said, “We would like to explore the possibility of a story on this changing trend and how more and more people today prefer to celebrate Holi in large groups with music and dance.”
