Mastering the art of public speaking

A session was conducted by Hyderabad Toastmasters to eliminate the fear of speaking in public

They say that out of all the fears, the fear of speaking in front of an audience is the worst. In order to elevate public speaking skills, Hyderabad Toastmasters (HTM), which is a part of Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development, organised an event on Sunday.

The meeting organised by HTM at Jiyagasa Studio, Ameerpet, was an open house, where the club showcased a demo of an actual meeting. A session titled ‘Pillars of Communication’ was conducted which discussed the steps necessary to master the art of effective communication and public speaking.

Guests at the event got a shot at speaking during the table topics session, which was a segment on extempore. A common thread in all their conversations was that Toastmasters had not only made them a good speaker but also had an impact in their lives at personal levels.
