The recently appointed Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner N Srikanth met Municipal Commissioner C Harikiran on Wednesday. The CRDA chief had assumed charge in the city a couple of days ago and was camping in the Municipal Corporation Guest House. He also assumed charge as the vice-chairman of the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority (VGTMUDA). The State government had transferred the VGTMUDA vice-chairperson P Usha Rani replacing her with the CRDA Commissioner Srikanth.
As the CRDA also covers most of the VGTMUDA zone, the government had appointed Srikanth as vice-chairman to handle the affairs of the urban development authority.
