Warm welcome for medal winners, Archers of Volga Archery Academy have won several medals in the 35th National Games that are being held at Thiruvananthapuram.
Archers of Volga Archery Academy have won several medals in the 35th National Games that are being held at Thiruvananthapuram. The winners were accorded a warm welcome in the city on Tuesday after taking part in the National Games.
Purvasha Sudhir Shinde has won a gold medal in the compound individual event and a bronze in the team event. Y Bairagi Reddy secured a gold medal in Indian round.
Volga Archery Academy director Ch Satyanarayana said that the winners included Purvasha, Bairagi Reddy, Y Anusha Reddy, P Geethika Lakshmi and K Jyothsna. Students of Satavahana College, SRR and CVR Government College and Viswa Bharati School thronged to the railway station to welcome the winners for bringing laurels to their educational institutions.
District Sports Development Officer P Rama Krishna, members of the Krishna District Olympic Association and Volga Archery Academy congratulated the winners.
