Intermediate examinations started peacefully on Wednesday with the city as headquarters for the first time after the bifurcation of the state.Commissioner and Secretary of Board of Intermediate Examinations (BIE) Rama Shankar Naik, Controller of examinations P Manikyam, OSD CM Ghouse, joint secretary of examinations IM Ramasubbanna and BIE regional inspection officer M Raja Rao were present at the time of selection of the question paper from three sets.
Of the total 5,03,345 candidates registered for the examinations, 24,298 candidates were absent on the first day of examinations. The officials booked nine cases of malpractices in the State.District Collector Babu A inspected SRR and CVR Government College. He asked officials to provide drinking water facilities at all the examination centres. Several squads were appointed for smooth conduct of the exams
