Ravindra Bharathi School held a convocation ceremony at its branch at Palakol in West Godavari district on Thursday. Participating as chief guest, Narsapur DSP P Sowmya Latha underlined the need to impart social and moral values and strict discipline among children from the primary school level to mould them as responsible citizens.
Guest of honour at the event, Dr Kusuma Kumari said, “Children should be encouraged to take active participation in extracurricular activities for their holistic development. Parents should identify their children’s areas of interest and encourage them in the chosen fields. It would help unearth children’s creativity and talent, besides providing them good exposure.”
Later, medals, certificates and mementos were presented to 89 meritorious students. DSP Sowmya Latha and Dr Kusuma Kumari were felicitated by the school management on the occasion. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the school and parents of children participated in the convocation.
