Proposal for new Cantonment by-laws submitted

J Ramakrishna, ward member 5 of Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) on Wednesday, submitted a model proposal of by-laws of the SCB to Ravi Kanth Chopra, Director General of Defence Estate at New Delhi, for its approval from Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Ravi Kanth advised Ramakrishna to send a detailed report, which has to be prepared by the SCB and approved in the board’s general body meeting. It will then be forwarded to the Principal Director of Defence Estates at Pune (PDDE) and by MoD. Ramakrishna, said, he is likely to discuss about the new bye laws in detail with Chief Executive Officer, SCB and will be sending the proposal to Ministry of Defence, as per the guidelines set by the DGDE of Delhi.
