Hyderabad District Collector K Nirmala reviewed the poor performance of Class 10 results and instructed all departmental heads to improve the pass percentage in the supplementary examinations. The authorities opined that the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) method was the cause for poor performance as the majority of the students failed in Mathematics and Physical Sciences.

The collector appalled to the staff to give special training to teachers and parents for better results. “Unrecognised schools should be closed down while recognised institutions should be constantly monitored by the DEOs and assistant DEOs to improve the standard of education,” she said.
