The L&T’s Bandaravirayala Quarry and Crusher establishment attached to the prestigious Hyderabad Metro Rail Project (HMRP) won the Mines Safety Award for second time in a row.
K Sesha Reddy, project head, viaduct work, L&T Construction, HMRP received the Mines Safety Award 2015 from Syed Imtiyaz Hussain, deputy director general of mines safety, South Central Zone, at a ceremony held at Visveswarayya Bhawan, Institution of Engineer, Hyderabad on Sunday.
L&T has been operating at Bandaravirayala with an in-house production capacity of 200 Tons per Hour (TPH) at Bandaravirayala Village of Hayath Nagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district of Telangana since May 2011 to cater to the need of coarse and fine aggregates for HMRP.
