The artistic and creative talents of the parents of the students of Classes I and II came to the fore at the art with waste competition held on Friday. Parents along with their children participated in the competition.

Some of the artistic and decorative pieces like wall hanging, flower vases, merry-go-round and pen stands were made with waste CDs, pencil scraps, broken water bottles, paper rolls, ice-cream cups and others.

Speaking on the occasion, the school pro-vice-chairman, P Narendra Babu said that fashion shows are fun and creative ways of highlighting some of the ethical issues surrounding the fashion industry.

He further said the show was an event in which collections of newly-designed clothing are modelled for audience. This gave an opportunity for the tiny tots of pre-primary wing to come in exotic fashionable outfits and show case their latent talents.

All the participants were awarded with participation certificates and prizes to the top three winners. The school director P Sunanda, dean S B Rao, vice-principal J Bora appreciated the participants and congratulated the prize winners on their creative skills.
