VBFS pays tributes to Chalasani Prasad

The Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS) paid homage to Viplava Rachayitala Sangham (VIRASAM) founder member Chalasani Prasad, at his commemoration meeting held in the city on Wednesday.

Paying glowing tributes to Prasad, veteran journalist C Raghavachari said the revolutionary writer lived all through his life as a dedicated Marxist. He actively took part in the agitations organised by the Left parities for people’s cause.

As a revolutionary writer, he strove to bring about a social change by enlightening people, Raghavachari said. Book Festival Society president S Rama Rao, vice-president G Lakshmi, Prof N Anjaiah of Acharya Nagarjuna University and others spoke hailing Prasad as a Marxist ideologue.
