Presiding over the session, college principal Dr G Srinivasa rao said that the new technology has created new perspective in software and information technology fields.“The Department of Science and Technology has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh to establish the special could-computing block in the college and it was opened to develop skills among college students and professors,” he said.

Delivering the key address Dr B Vijaybabu, professor at KL University, stated that every organisation is uploading and updating their professional and commercial information online. This is called data analytics and now it becomes a key issue.

He said that in coming days, every organisation would give highest priority to data analytics. The professor further stated that cloud-computing technology would facilitate every organisation to conduct activities with minimum resources.

“In view of the demand and new aspects of cloud computing all commercial, government and private institutions are eying on this,” he added. G Rajeev Sairam, infrastructure manager, Wales Fargo said that the technology would be utilised for commercial and professional activities through websites with least resources.

V Purushotham Raju, head of the department, computer science and engineering, K Ganeshreddy, P Kiran Sri coordinators also spoke. Lecturers, college deans, heads of the department and students participated from various engineering colleges.
