Remembering the ‘Missile Man’ in his address, Singh called upon the railway personnel to seek inspiration from Kalam’s exemplary life and achieve greater deeds in service of the organisation.
Highlighting SCR’s performance in his address, he stated that the Gross Apportioned earnings of the zone have shown a remarkable growth of 11 per cent, touching Rs 5450 crore (current fiscal year). The zone registered 2.2 per cent increase in freight loading with 38.15 million tonnes (MTs).
The commissioning of Mellacheruvu-Mathampalli new railway line for a distance of 10 km and electrification of Gooty-Dharmavaram section to a length of 92 km was a noteworthy attainment, the AGM said. “We have earmarked Rs 133.46 crore for passenger amenities,” he said.
