Speaking at the inaugural session of a two-day national convention of CA students organised by the Vijayawada Branch of Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of ICAI, on Thursday, Reddy said, “There is a huge demand for qualified CAs in the job market now.

They can achieve career heights as an auditor, a financial planner, a tax advisor, an investment manager, a teacher and other capacities. The ICAI will take measures to make the CA course less rigid to enable students with rural background to pursue it without any difficulty.’’

Vijayawada Branch of SIRC chairman, KVN Purna Chandra Rao, said, “The two-day convention was meant to make students familiar with the CA curriculum. It is also aimed at making students acquaint themselves with new topics, including fraud detection and forensic accounting, issues in capital gains, ERP systems audit, accounting and auditing standards.”

“Winning strategies for success in examination, motivation and other aspects would also be covered during the two-day meet,” he said. Renowned speaker, E Pattabhiram, advised students to develop good communication and interpersonal skills to get better placements. Garikapati Narasimha Rao conducted a motivational session for students.

SIRC of ICAI secretary, E Phalguna Kumar, SICASA of SIRC chairman A Venkateswara Rao, ICAI Vijayawada Branch chairman, Srinivas Agnihotram, managing committee member, S Akkaiah Naidu and others were also present.
