The consistently successful Hashmi trio representing NTR University of Health Sciences did the institution proud by winning the Hyderabad leg and getting qualified for the National finals of the coveted ‘Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz’, at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, on Saturday.

The wining team comprised of Syed Mustafa Hashmi, Syed Murtuza Hashmi and Syed Asna Hashmi. The quiz conducted by Kunal Savarkar was an exciting affair with avid quizzers turning up from 62 teams drawn from 21 premier colleges and technological institutes based in the city.

The winning team will next participate in the grand finale slated to be held in New Delhi, on October 16. Apart from Hyderabad, the zuiz will also be held in Indore, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The National winners will get an all-expense paid trip to Sweden where they will visit headquarters of global Swedish companies, Swedish Universities and the Nobel Museum among others.

Later, Mikael Johansson, Second Secretary, Embassy of Sweden India gave away prizes to the winning teams in the inter-collegiate quiz. Zafar Javeed, Secretary of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, was present on the occasion.
