Janmashtami fete at music college on Sept 5
The Akhila Bharatha Yadava Maha Sabha will organise Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations on a grand scale at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in the city on September 5.Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Maha Sabha State working president Lakka Vengalrao Yadav said devotional and cultural programmes will be organised as part of the celebrations. Gopuja and other rituals would be performed.

Dahi Handi breaking ceremony, Harikatha and a dance ballet on the life of Lord Sri Krishna, Bhagavad Gita Parayana and religious discourses will also be held. After the celebrations, Prasadam will be distributed to devotees, he said.Later, Vengalrao Yadav and Deputy Mayor Gogula Venkata Ramana Rao released the poster of Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. Maha Sabha city president D Venkaiah Yadav and other leaders were also present at the news conference.
