Devotees appeal for fair distribution
Post Ganesh nimajjanam, the Tapeswaram Maha Laddu (6000 kg) of Khairatabad Ganesh will be distributed on Wednesday for devotees and general public, who are expected to be in large numbers.
Of the total weight, 3000 kg will be distributed at Khairatabad and the remainder will be carried to Tapeshwaram for distribution at their centre.
Some of the devotees on condition of anonymity complained that the Maha Laddu prasadm is not reaching them, in spite of waiting in long queues for hours.
They appealed the temple committee members and police authorities to monitor proper distribution and ensure maximum people get the prasadam.
“The distribution should be monitored on CCTV surveillance to prevent foul play. It should be treated as daiva prasadam and not as tiffin or breakfast,” they said.
Polisetty Mallibabu, owner of Suruchi Foods, said the laddu can be distributed to over one lakh people, if it is properly served with a minimum of 50 gm each.
