Mother, daughter duo creates fusion designs

Sonali Sharma and Namita Sondhi presented Rachna Mehra & Chandini Mehra collection of precious jewellery at Salon1 Park Hyatt in the city. They showcased a variety of jewellery set in gold with diamonds, polki, stones and pearls.

Speaking on the occasion Sonali Sharma said, “The collection is all in precious jewels. I am glad that people liked it and we got a very good feedback.”

Designer Chandini Mehra said, “My mother Rachna Mehra and I together design the jewellery. It’s all of fusion of Polki and diamonds with colour stones and certainly gold.

We basically design, manufacture, customise and sell our own. We are based out of Delhi. We are mother and daughter team who work well together to design in different cities through our private show throughout the year national and international.”

“It began 16 years ago for my mom and I joined her about seven years back. We started it from Delhi first and in Hyderabad this is our 11th year now. We have a lot of earrings with bracelets, rings, and necklaces and also we do hand pieces.

We do also lot of bridal jewellery. The starting price for earrings is Rs 22,000 and goes up to Rs10 lakh and the necklace range start from Rs 2, 50,000,” she added.
