Isthriwala, for door-step laundering solutions

A group of seven students from different engeneering colleges came together to start an E-Commerce business that gives you launderers at your door-step. Sri Ram Suravarapu , Sai Ram Patnaik, Srikanth, Viswesh , Nihanth, Kailash , Arjun introduced ‘Isthriwala’ for lenin needs.

It provides service like washing, ironing, dry clean, chemical and petroleum wash at affordable prices at your door step. All it needs is just to log on to their self-Designed website or download their application (for IOS, Android and Windows) and select the service that one wishes from the kind of services being provided.

And the service is currently functioning in two major cities i.e. Hyderabad and Vijayawada. They will be coming up in other cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Visakhapatnam in the near future. “We are looking to start and be present all over India by next year. To serve as many people as possible is our main motto of the project,” states CEO of Isthriwala, Sri Ram Suravarapu.

Students these days have more entrepreneur zeal instead of just concentrating on the academics and to train themselves for campus placements. They want to be the job givers not the seekers. On asking Sri Ram Suravarapu, about the difficulties and the hurdles that they faced while in the stage of initiation he said, “Right from grabbing on the trust of the parents for investments to the service being provided till date nothing was a cake walk for us.

But when something is done out of passion, the difficulties that come across are just nullified by the satisfaction we get from the success. We initially used to listen to the classes and work late in the nights but now even attending classes have turned difficult. A good read before the exam or a night before the exam would do. That is how we are managing.”

“While developing a Startup, ‘Start with the things you have’ is what I believe in. We played many roles ourselves like technical developers, marketing executives, delivery executives, photographers, designers and anything that was needed. We started of initially with what we had and the rest was with the help of parents who were supportive right from the planning sessions of the project,” adds Sri Ram Suravarapu.

Quality of the service is one thing they believe in says Sri Ram. “We also did express deliveries where the customer would be delivered back his laundered clothes within an hour or two. Customers are surely excited. Our team occasionally goes down as delivery service agents to check the real-time reviews from the customers and we are overwhelmed by the feedback,” adds Sri Ram.

Entrepreneurship cell in KL University played a vital role in our success. They helped us in branding and was of great moral support.

Apart from Isthriwala they also are into a software and IT firm start-up named ‘Tonmetri Info Solutions’ where they are into services like web and mobile app development, Software development, branding and digital media marketing adds Srikanth.
