Delegate registrations begin
The 47th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will woo the audience with the plethora of movies from across the globe. The delegate registrations for the film festival began on October 3.
The 47th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will woo the audience with the plethora of movies from across the globe. The delegate registrations for the film festival began on October 3.
The Indian Panorama films will showcase creativity of Indian directors which will for the first time be selected from the received entries of both censored and un-censored films as per the new guidelines for this year.
The Festival is introducing the Centenary Award for ‘Best Debut Feature’ to recognise upcoming filmmakers. This is in addition to the pre-existing award categories, namely: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Lifetime Achievement Award, Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year and Special Jury Award.
The International Film Festival of India continues to grow both as a major festival for independent films and international productions as well as establishing a strong film market tie-in with many international buyers and sellers.
This year, IFFI has workshops from stalwarts in World Cinema. A special section of films will be showcased as a Celebration of Masters in the art of Film making. The event is scheduled from November 20 to 28.
