Asifabad: In a novel protest, leaders of Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika climbed a water tank near the Collectorate here on Thursday demanding government Degree College in the town. They insisted for assurance by both the District Collector and local MLA for giving up their demonstration. Earlier, the leaders had staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate.
With officials not responding, they climbed the water tank. Later, they came down following SI Naresh’s assurance to get in touch with the Collector and legislator. The vedika leaders said local residents were going to other places in the absence of a government degree college.
