Former Jukkal MLA passes away
Former MLA of Jukkal constituency Vithal Reddy passed away after suffering a massive heart attack at the residence of his grandson in Bodhan town on Friday.
Nizamabad: Former MLA of Jukkal constituency Vithal Reddy passed away after suffering a massive heart attack at the residence of his grandson in Bodhan town on Friday.
He hailed from Shantapur village of Bichkunda mandal in the district. Vithal Reddy served as an Independent MLA representing Jukkal form 1966 to 1977.
Vithal Reddy also served as a member of the construction committee of the Nizamsagar dam and it was mainly due to his efforts that the height of the dam was raised by one feet.
He also played a key role in the distribution of ten acres of forest land to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Throughout his life, he rendered selfless services to the poor and the downtrodden.
Vithal Reddy has been ailing since 2011 and was staying with his grandson. His last rites will be performed in Bodhan on Saturday.
