The 547th birth anniversary of Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm at Nizam College Grounds in Basheerbagh on Monday.
The final day of the four-day long celebrations began with ‘Prakash Utsav’ followed by a mass congregation in which upto 40,000 devotees attended.
It was on this day Guru Nanak was born at Rai Boi di Talwandi now known as Nankana Sahib in Pakisatan. Devotees offered prayers to Guru Granth Sahib during the ‘Vishaal Deewan’.
