Karimnagar: Celebrate New Year eve joyfully in peaceful environment without troubling others and without breaking rules, said Police Commissioner V B Kamalasan Reddy.A meeting was held with owners of cinema theatres, function halls and restaurants at Late John Wilson open theatre in the Commissionerate here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Police Commissioner said people must take permission compulsorily to celebrate New Year and should avoid high frequency sound systems. Drinking alcohol, wearing improper dresses along with creating disturbance to others is strictly prohibited. Stringent action will be taken against those, who crosses limits and violates law and order and causes inconvenience to others, he warned.
The Police Commissioner suggested owners of cinema theatres, function halls and restaurants to install CCTV cameras along with arranging metal detectors. They were told not to allow high frequency sounds along with mike sets after 10 pm.
He cautioned them to be alert about anti-social activists to prevent any untoward incidents since they would create disturbances at places with huge crowds like New Year events and gatherings.Tight security arrangements
Tight security arrangements will be made on the occasion of New Year such as organising drunk and drive checking with breath analyzers from 8 pm on December 31 to mid-night of January 1. Actions will be taken against those, who drive vehicles very fast, triple riding, drunk driving, the Police Commissioner warned.
He also said that CCTV cameras will be installed at every main centre along with picturing the videos and action will be taken on them, who destroy the private and government properties.Using of DJ music system is strictly prohibited along with bursting crackers. He urged the people to celebrate the New Year Eve in peaceful environment and don’t get caught and face problems with cases registered against them and going to jail in New Year.Additional Commissioner of Police T Annapurna, Assistant Commissioner of Police J Rama Rao, Inspectors Hari Prasad, Krishna Goud and the Reserve Inspector Gangadhar were present along with others.
