Thousands throng Yadadri on Vaikunta Ekadasi
Following the Muhurtham, decked up Vaikunta Dwaram was open for devotees amidst the chants of vedic hymns by the temple priests at 6.48 am. Uttara Dwaram darshanam was provided to the devotees up to 9 am.Early morning, the temple priests performed special pujas including Aaradhana, Thiruppavai and Alankara seva to the presiding deities before opening Uttara Dwaram, and took them out in procession.
Yadadri: The Yadadri shrine was packed with devotees who thronged to get the ‘Uttara Dhwara Darshanam’ of presiding deity Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy on the occasion of auspicious Vaikunta Ekadasi on Sunday. Large number of devotees reached Yadagirigutta by Saturday evening and stayed in the choultries and lodges located at down the hill.

Executive officer Geetha, Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha along with family members participated in the puja programmes. According to official sources, the temple raked an income of Rs 17.40 lakh on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi. Meanwhile, Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Nalgonda town, Yoga Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple of Mattapalli, Venkateshwara Swamy temple of Suryapet too witnessed heavy rush.
Suryapet Collector K Surendra Mohan, along with family members, Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy, DEO Venkatanarsamma visited Mattapally and had a darshan of the Lord Laxmi Narasimha Swamy and took the blessings of the priests.Police department has made elaborate security arragements at all major Vaishnavite temples in erstwhile Nalgonda district to avoid any untoward incidents on the day.
