The devotees of Yadava, Golla, Kuruma and Balija communities dancing to the beats of drums and offering prayers to Lord Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy marked the second day of Ainavolu Jatara.

People from different parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka thronged the temple, believed to have been built by Kakatiya minister Ayyanna Devudu, as part of the Jatara which chiefly features the celestial wedding of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy with his consorts Golla Kethamma and Balija Medalamma.

Bandari (turmeric) is offered as prasadam to the deity. The devotees also carry earthen pots with a pudding made of newly-harvested rice, milk and jaggery. Some even make animal sacrifices.
