Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his satisfaction over the measures taken for the protection of saplings that were planted as part of Haritha Haram programme along the sides of National Highway 65 in the erstwhile Nalgonda district and informed that there was no dearth of funds with regard to Haritha Haram.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister on his way to Khammam halted for sometime at Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy's house in Suryapet.

District Collector Surendra Mohan along with the Minister welcomed the Chief Minister with a bouquet of flowers. During their conversation, the Chief Minister appreciated the Collector for his hard work in implementing government schemes effectively in the district.

Later, he interacted with the Minister and brought Pulichintala issue to his notice and sought necessary action to save the crops under the lift irrigation projects located in the upstream of Pulichintala project.

In the interest of Telangana farmers, a letter was written to AP government to maintain sufficient water levels in the project, the Minster informed.

When Collector informed about the objections of R&B department laying pipeline works under Mission Bhagiratha at Nayakangudem Sagar Canal Bridge, the Minister said he would talk to both NSP and R&B officials to address the issue.

Among those who met the Chief Minister at Jagadish Reddy's house included Legislative Council vice-chairman Nethi Vidyasagar, ZP Chairman Balunaik, MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, Bhoora Narsaiah Goud, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Pula Ravinder, MLAs Gadari Kishore, P Shekar Reddy, Vemula Veeresham, Kuskuntla Prabhakar Reddy, M Baskar Rao, TSFDC Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, SWC Chairman Madula Samuel, Nalgonda Collector Gaurav Uppal, SPs Parimala, Prakash Reddy, local municipal chairperson Pravallika and others.

Police of Yadadri, Nalgonda and Suryapet districts made elaborate arrangements to avoid any untoward incidents during CM’s road journey to Khammam.
