Collector calls for expeditious completion of road works

​Warangal Urban: District Collector Amrapali Kata has directed the officials to expedite the works related to roads and traffic junctions in the city.

The Collector held a meeting at Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) office in Hanamkonda to discuss measures to speed up works related to repairing of roads, development of junctions and parks and to address the issue of pipeline leakages.

KUDA chairman M Yadava Reddy, municipal commissioner Shruti Ojha, the officials of national highways officials, roads and buildings, KUDA and the GWMC attended the meeting. Addressing the officials, the Collector asked them to complete junction development works by June 20. Similarly roads repairs and laying of new roads should be completed at the earliest. She wanted municipal, national highways, roads and buildings and the GWMC officials to work with coordination.

Amrapali has asked the officials to come up with constructive measures to address pipeline leakages which were often damaging the roads in the city. “The funds sanctioned under Smart City Mission should be spent in accordance with the concept of the mission,” she said.

The Collector reviewed a design on Ekasila Park development presented by the concerned consultancy and told the officials to prepare a detailed project report and initiate the process of calling tenders within a week.

Marking the International Women’s Day, KUDA chairman Yadava Reddy has felicitated the Collector Amrapali and municipal commissioner Ojha. KUDA planning officer E Ajith Reddy, conservator of forests MJ Akbar and others were present.
