Warangal: As the opposition parties have taken a dig at the State government’s budget presented in the Assembly on Monday for the ensuing financial year, the ruling TRS party leaders here were all praise for the budget.

Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar, TRS district president T Ravinder Rao, KUDA Chairman M Yadava Reddy, ex-MP G Sudharani, GWMC Mayor N Narender and others have described the budget as ‘phenomenal’ which would fulfil the aspirations of Telangana people.

Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, Vinod Kumar stated that the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao has done extensive exercise holding deliberations with public representatives and bureaucrats to give a ‘pro-people’ outlook to the budget.

The Centre appointed ‘Sri Krishna Committee’ looking into the demand of separate State noted that about 89.69 per cent population in Telangana was BCs and dalits. The fact was taken into consideration while preparing the budget and increased amount of funds were for the welfare of those sections.

In addition to that, the CM, who had a thorough knowledge about the lives of rural masses which were neglected by successive governments during the reign by Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders, wanted to redress the loss they suffered, Vinod Kumar explained.

Sudharani and Mayor Narender, who performed ‘Palabhishekam’ to the portrait of KCR for making increased allocations for MBCs, handlooms workers, women and for GWMC said the budget was unique in many ways.

They said the budget would revive rural economy. Narender lauded the CM for coming up with ‘KCR Kit’ benefitting pregnant woman, lactating mothers and new born children while KUDA Chairman Yadava Reddy said the MBC Corporation proposed with Rs 1,000 crores would change the lives of backward classes.

The leaders hailed allocation of Rs 6,000 crore for Kaleswaram lift irrigation scheme. Once completed the project could irrigate every acre in North Telangana. The budget proved the fact that how separate Telangana could fulfil the aspirations of the people, they added. The party leaders Jannu Jacharaiah, Gudimalla Ravi Kumar, K Vasudeva Reddy, Mohammed Nayeemuddin and others were present.
