​Sircilla: The Mind Care and Counselling Centre, in association with District Public Relation Department, has organised a programme to prevent suicides and to build self-confidence among powerloom workers, at B Y Nagar here on Monday. Addressing the powerloom workers, noted psychologist K Punnam Chander advised the workers to keep emotions under their control to beat the stress and to live happily with their families.

The persons, who cannot control negative thoughts like anger, fear, grief, jealous and anxiety, will undergo mental depression and get addicted to bad habits and loose hope on life, he said.

When persons lose control over their emotions they will be indulged in unnecessary quarrels with others and with their family members and will face many problems. He also suggested them that developing certain positive characters like love and affection, mercy and humanity the workers can lead peaceful live happily with their families.

Punnam Chander said that the Mind Care Counselling Centre works round the clock and will give counselling to the workers to overcome their problems along with educating them how to keep emotions under their control.

The artists of cultural department, led by Edla Sridhar Reddy tried to build up self-confidence and courage in the workers with their inspirational songs. CITU leader Musham Ramesh, artists of cultural department K Thirupathi, G Parasharamulu, K Praveen, G Srinivas, Devaiah, K Lakshminarayana, K Raju, A Shirisha Puduri Sanjeev and the staff members of Mind Care Counselling Centre Vemula Annapurana, Repalli Latha, Konda Uma and Bura Srimathi were also present along with workers of various sections.
