Chennupati Rama Kotaiah Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (CHRMK VMC) Indoor stadium Table Tennis (TT) players excelled and bagged several medals in third state ranking tournament which was held at Swarna Bharathi Indoor stadium in Visakhapatnam from July 28 to 30. International TT player and city girl Shailu Noor Basha, performed well and won two gold medals in Women and Youth girl events.
Chennupati Rama Kotaiah Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (CHRMK VMC) Indoor stadium Table Tennis (TT) players excelled and bagged several medals in third state ranking tournament which was held at Swarna Bharathi Indoor stadium in Visakhapatnam from July 28 to 30. International TT player and city girl Shailu Noor Basha, performed well and won two gold medals in Women and Youth girl events.
As many as six-TT players won medals in that tournament. All these players are taking coaching under Y Damodar Reddy and are regularly practicing in CHRMK VMC Indoor stadium in Patamata.
According to Coach Damodar Reddy, Shailu Noor Basha won gold medals in Youth girl and women categories, Nazeerabi Noor Basha bagged bronze medal in junior girl section. Vamsi Sanjay lifted a gold medal in mini cadet and silver in cadets, Dohadawati won bronze in junior girl section, Karthikeya won bronze in Sub-junior boys and Praneetha emerged with a bronze medal in women’ wing.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports Kollu Ravindra attended the closing ceremony and presented trophies and medals to the winners and runners up at Swarna Bharathi Indoor stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. In connection to this, Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) vice-president SM Sulthan, Krishna District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA) president Prakash, secretary K Balaram and others praised the medal winners.
