Hanamkonda: KUDA Chairman Marri Yadava Reddy said that consultative process the master plan has already began to make the city future-ready. Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said that long-awaited master plan for which the denizens have been waiting eagerly will be completed by January 2018.
“The LEA Associates, a renowned consultancy in the industry, has been entrusted with duty of preparing the master plan. The consultancy had already started taking the opinion of the people and the stakeholders,” Reddy said.
As many as 34 organisations that include government, private and civil societies have been identified to elicit information and suggestions from them to propose a master plan that could cater to the city needs for the next 25 years, he said.
He said that there was an inordinate delay in clearing the land regularisation scheme (LRS) applications. But once the master plan is ready, it would provide a long-lasting solution, he said, referring to the growing needs of the people residing in the region of KUDA.
Referring a few instances in Madikonda region (near Kazipet), Reddy cautioned the people to verify the KUDA permission before they purchase plots from realtors. “It has come to our notice that some realtors were duping the gullible denizens by showing forged clearance certificates of the KUDA,” he said. He advised the people to verify the development planning activity of the venture with the KUDA authorities or with the information available online.
Reddy said that MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao will hold a review meeting of the developmental works taking place in the KUDA and the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) area next week. KUDA Planning Officer E Ajit Reddy and the representatives of the LEE Associates were among others present.
