It was a close shave for 60 persons, including 35 students, when the bus they were travelling in during an excursion trip to Taliperu project on Sunday lost balance while negotiating the project bund, and landed on its side causing injuries to three persons.

Kothagudem: It was a close shave for 60 persons, including 35 students, when the bus they were travelling in during an excursion trip to Taliperu project on Sunday lost balance while negotiating the project bund, and landed on its side causing injuries to three persons.
The injured have been rushed to Government hospital at Charla. Besides the students, there were 25 others, including 15 teaching and non-teaching staff, aboard when it accident took place.
The mishap occurred when the school bus of Srinivasa Vidyaniketan of Lakshmipuram in Burgampahad was heading towards Taliperu project as part of excursion. All the students in the bus were in the 10-15 years’ age group.
Police personnel travelling along the same route immediately rushed to the help of the students and saved them by breaking the window glasses.
ZPTC of Charla Thotamalla Harita, MPP Kodanda Ramaiah, TRS leaders Parachuri Ravi, Bhadrachalam Assembly constituency Congress in-charge Nallapu Durgaprasad, CPM mandal secretary Karam Naresh and others thanked the police for their timely intervention and saving the children.
