Beginning Friday, 22nd November to Sunday 24th November, all roads will lead to Progress Software, Madhapur, Hyderabad where aspiring entrepreneurs would build communities and start companies. It’s an event that would put anyone interested in the entrepreneurial community in a setting where anything is possible.
Startup weekend is a 54-hour event for anyone pitching a startup idea. About 10 to 15 teams are formed based on the best ideas which then take shape until Sunday. The best startups are awarded prizes, ranging from cash to in-kind support from the companies.

In the past three years, this event has inspired and produced around 15,000 entrepreneurs. Currently Startup Weekend is established in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Mumbai. And the event will be happening in 200 cities across the globe, during the same period.
The non-profit organisation is headquartered in Seattle, Washington but Startup Weekend organisers and facilitators can be found in over 200 cities around the world. From Mongolia to South Africa, from London to Brazil, people around the globe will come together for weekend workshops to pitch ideas, form teams, and start companies.
On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week, a Global Startup Battle will be held which aims to generate a stronger global community of entrepreneurs in two weekends, in hundreds of cities, bringing thousands of entrepreneurs together.
The ones who have seen it all, are naturally full of praises about it. “The energy and passion that participants bring to the startup weekend is unseen in any event across India,” says Rahul Sanghi. Adds Jeevan Reddy Gaddam, “I would advise any startup enthusiast to not miss this event. The network that you build through 54 hours lasts for a lifetime.”
“With more than 100 participants already registered for the event, we are expecting some real good ideas to take shape through the start-up weekend,” says Sudeep.
