15th National Seminar held

The Salar Jung museum hosted the 15th National Seminar on Friday that highlighted the message of Imam Hussain to humanity in the Nawab Mir Laiq Ali Khan Bhavan. Harpreet Singh (IAS) was the chief guest. The seminar was organised by Hyderi Educational and Social Welfare Society.

Dr Mohd Ilyas Rizvi (IFS), Add Prl Chief Conservator, Syed Omer Jaleel (IAS) secretary CCLA, Nawab Mir Ahteram Ali Khan, Member of SJM and Prof SA Shukoor, Director Secretary AP Urdu Academy were also present at the seminar.

The programme was addressed by religious leaders especially Shia leaders. Around 200 people belonging to not just the Shia but also to other communities attended the seminar. A religious leader and speaker, Moulana Ghazanfar Abbas Saheb Qibla from London attended the event and spoke to the audience.

The museum has also been hosting a photo exhibition of Imambada and Ashoorkhanas of Lucknow. The photos of the oldest Ashoorkhanas were displayed and the exhibition was inaugurated by MA Khan three days ago. Around 3000 Shias and others have visited the exhibition since its inauguration.
