Minorities usually face a tough time receiving medical aid from private hospitals, as most government hospitals either do not have the equipment or qualified doctors to undertake severe surgeries.
One such woman, Rehana Mohammed, who was a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, had to undergo a surgical procedure under which she had to have her uterus removed. Since she was from a family which was not financially or economically stable, she found it tough to receive treatment in a private hospital.
This is when Sudheer Reddy, MLA, came to her aide and provided her with the required financial assistance to the tune of Rs 60,000.
