A special documentary, titled ‘My Space=Your Space’, on women in public spaces is being screened at the City Centre Mall, Banjara Hills. It’s an awareness campaign on how women should be treated in public. The programme is organised by Goethe- Zentrum along with the University of Hyderabad, Octopus Studios and the City Centre Mall. The screening attracted a lot of women who had come to the mall. There is going to be a screening and also a play called ‘Daddy’s little girl’ and a panel discussion on ‘Women Harassment in Public’ today.

“We are screening documentaries like ‘Happy Journey’ made by German Centre, ‘It’s your Fault’ by Kalki Koechlin, ‘That Day after every day’ by Anurag Kashyap and ‘Conflict’ by Octopus Studios. We took permission from the makers before screening. We are even screening ‘Inside Out’, ‘Adha Asmaan’ and ‘Q2P’ which was taken from HCU Library. We have three more documentaries ‘Police Spot 6’, ‘Police Spot 7’ and ‘Police Spot 8’ which was given to us by the Hyderabad Police. They were very supportive. A few of the videos and documentaries were taken from internet too,” informed Tanvi, a volunteer.
