Swachh Bharat on a green note

Medicos from Apollo, Secunderabad, not only participate in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but also plant trees to on the road to spread the message of going green

Senior doctors of various specialties, paramedics, nurses and employees of Apollo Hospitals, Secunderabad, participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Saturday in the street adjacent to the hospital.

Prominent specialists including Dr Shiv Kumar, Col Dr Seetharam, Dr Mithin Aachi, Dr Venkat Reddy, Dr Madhumathy and 50 other staff gathered promptly at 6 am. The volunteers armed with broomsticks, shovels and bags fanned out and went about clearing the debris in the Keyes High School lane.

Later trees were planted to make the lane ‘green’, litter bins were placed and educative slogans on cleanliness were displayed prominently to sensitise the road users on using litter bins and to avoid urinating, spitting, smoking in the public areas and also to sustain the cleanliness drive.
