The event was graced by industrial promotion commissioner K Pradeep Chandra and principal secretary for municipal administration & urban development Dr SK Joshi as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. National Association of Realtors (NAR) chairman Dr PSN Rao and NAR president HL Bharga were also present at the event.

“Realtors are promoters of Brand Hyderabad. In our business, apart from selling our individual competence, we are always marketing Brand Hyderabad. I am not sure if any other profession markets Brand Hyderabad as much as we do on a day-to-day basis. Our members know Hyderabad's history, roads, developments, markets and future potential like the back of our hands,” said Vijay, HRA president.

“We request the Government of Telangana, the GHMC and the HMDA to enroll us so that we can start by contributing to the planning process of our city. We know how easy it is to convince clients to take office space in Hitec City. But if we wanted the same client to take space in Uppal or Shamshabad then it is a huge challenge. We want to work with the government to overcome this challenge so that our city could have more balanced and equitable growth on all sides,” he added.

“The State government must consider an act similar to the proposed National Real Estate Regulations Act,” said PSN Rao.

Dr SK Joshi assured realtors that once the central Act is made, the Telangana government would be the first state to set up a State-level regulator.
