Hyderabad: Justice Ms Anis of the High Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday refused to stay proceedings in the Cash for Bail scam involving Gali Janardhan Reddy. The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Dr D Prabhakar Rao, former district judge and arrayed as one of the accused in the case.

It is alleged that he contacted CBI Special Judge Pattabhirama Rao and offered him cash for granting bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy. The petitioner complained that the CBI had jumped the gun and arrested him and he was no way involved in the matter. He filed the present petition after the special court rejected his appeal. Justice Anis refused to interfere in the matter at this stage as he investigation was already completed in the case and the ACB filed the charge sheets against all the accused in the case and the trial is yet to commence in the case.
