With the ‘Give-A-Day’ programme, 50 per cent of the amount collected in sales will be donated to the cause of educating girl children in India. For this purpose, they have partnered with Project Nanhi Kali. The other 50 per cent will be given to eminent global organisations like UNICEF, Gain and Save The Children, all of which are dedicated to the cause of improving the standard of living for children across the world.

Over 40 countries will be participating along with India in the altruistic endeavour. Project Nanhi Kali empowers more than one lakh girls across rural, tribal and urban regions in nine States by providing them with high-quality education support and resources. Commenting on the initiative, Vineet Gautam, head, Bestseller India, said, “The company has been a part of many CSR initiatives at a national and an international level. Over 40 countries will be a part of the ‘Give-A-Day’ initiative.

We hope to make a significant contribution to a few lives with this.” Sheetal Mehta, trustee and executive director, KC Mahindra Education Trust, said, “It’s really heartening to see companies go the extra mile to create positive change. It helps projects such as ours immensely, as we are then able to scale up and ensure the education of many more girls.”
