90% trust homeopathy as effective treatment
A study by consultancy firm IMRB International conducted across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Kolkata, shows that 90 per cent of people perceive homeopathy as a trusted form of treatment with its usage higher than any other form of treatment. The study released by Dr Mukesh Batra, ahead of World Homeopathy Day, which will be observed on Friday, found that 92 per cent perceive homeopathy as a ‘reputed’
A study by consultancy firm IMRB International conducted across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Kolkata, shows that 90 per cent of people perceive homeopathy as a trusted form of treatment with its usage higher than any other form of treatment. The study released by Dr Mukesh Batra, ahead of World Homeopathy Day, which will be observed on Friday, found that 92 per cent perceive homeopathy as a ‘reputed’ form of treatment and that most people used homeopathy mainly for backaches, gastro, skin and hair ailments.
Also, 91 per cent are satisfied with the treatment while 93 per cent are willing to recommend homeopathy to others due to higher satisfaction levels with their treatment. Releasing the survey, Dr Batra said, “It is encouraging that more and more people are using homeopathy for its safe and effective results. It is now being used as a first line of treatment in certain diseases.”
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), homeopathy is the second largest system of medicine in the world, with over 100 million from India depending on it. Sujai Mahadevan, Insights director of IMRB International, said, “It is interesting to know that the usage of homeopathy treatment is higher than any other form of treatment. Experience among homeopathic patients is in the positive direction due to higher satisfaction levels.”
