Vijayawada-based photo journalist T Srinivasa Reddy bagged three world records by claiming gold medals in genres-Nature, Photo travel and Journalism categories. He won the medals in a global contest, Photo Club Arizona-2016 conducted by associations from Serbia, Romania and Macedonia.

In a release to the media, it is mentioned that the entries of Srinivasa Reddy have been adjudged the best in all the three categories from as many as 5,984 photographs submitted by 382 contesting photographers from 58 countries.

He received gold medals for his photographs clicked during the Jalli Kattu bull fight at Azanganur near Maduri in Tamilnadu, which is declared the best in depicting tell-tale nature of a social custom under the Photo journalism category.

Another photograph entitled ‘Speed’ which was captured during Kambla Bull Fight at Udupi near Mangalore in Karnataka was selected for the highest honor in Macedonia for the commendable use of high-speed technology in photography.

The award winning photographs along with other 321 prize-winning photos would be prominently displayed during photo exhibitions across various countries throughout the year.

Srinivasa Reddy is also the first ever photographer from the Telugu-speaking States to receive Kala Ratna Puraskar from government of Andhra Pradesh, when the latter introduced an award for photography for first time in 2015. He is the first Indian photographer to have been awarded Grand master status by Image Colleague Society of America.
