The Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation (TSMFC) will be setting up a Community Production Centre at the Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT) in Misrigunj, Old City.

Director General Anti-Corruption Bureau, AK Khan who took part in the distribution of motorised high-quality sewing machines to poor and underprivileged women at KTT’s office on its Silver Jubilee function, said, “The TSMFC will be spending Rs 25 to 30 lakhs towards establishing the centre in the premises of this trust. The returns and profits from these centres will be used for the benefit of the poor and to ameliorate the condition of underprivileged women who will be working at this centre.”

He lamented that more than 50 per cent of budget sanctioned to the Minority Department was not used and assured to ‘utilise every single rupee this year in optimum capacity’. “This year, about 70 per cent of the total State minority’s budget will be spent on education and employment,” he added. Speaking on the occasion, TSMFC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, B Shafiullah IFS described the centres as essential for leveraging conditions of the deserving lot.

He welcomed the NGOs working for similar causes to come forward with proposals by identifying critical issues. KTT Chairman Azeemuddin Qureshi, Managing Trustee Azmatullah IAS (Retd), trustees Dr Haseebullah, Syed Khaja Vicaruddin and others were also present on this occasion.
