Ali Akbar Niroomand, former Chief Public Relations Officer, Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad who has just retired from his post as the CPRO has been appointed as the Director of Chamber of Commerce for Iran Trade Promotion (CCITP).  

Ali Akbar Niroomand, former Chief Public Relations Officer, Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad who has just retired from his post as the CPRO has been appointed as the Director of Chamber of Commerce for Iran Trade Promotion (CCITP).

Addressing a felicitation function organised by CCITP, Anjuman-e-Iranian Deccan, Imam Khomeini Library and Research Centre, Gawah Urdu Weekly and Media Plus at Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad on Saturday evening in recognition of his 31 years of services as the CPRO, Prem Kumar said that Niroomand will continue to serve the Iranian cause in a greater capacity at the diplomatic level to strengthen Indo-Iran relations as the Director of CCITP.

Acknowledging 31 years of Niromand’s unparalleled services Iran’s acting Consul General Ali Pariyad said, “Though Niroomand has retired from the Consulate, he will be rememberd forever.” General Secretary of Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Minority Educational Institutions (FTAPMEI) Zafar Javeed said ‘Niroomand is the face of the Irani Consulate in Hyderabad. He urged the Irani Consulate to continue availing Niroomand’s services in the interest of the Iranian government.

Speakers at the function representing various organisations unanimously urged the Consulate General of Iran at Hyderabad to extend the services of Niroomand not just as a CPRO but as an advisor-consultant to the Government of Iran. Niroomand was instrumental in ameliorating the ties between Hyderabad and Iran, and has served cause with eleven (11) Consul General of Iran in Hyderabad in his 31 years of service at the Consulate. He played a key role in establishing CCITP in Hyderabad.

MLC Farooq Hussain, former MLC Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, Chief Editor of Gawah Weekly, Dr Syed Fazil Hussain Parvez, Aziz Ahmed journalist, HoD Persian department at MANUU Aziz Bano, social activist Khaleeq Ur Rahman, Shia cleric Dr Nisar Hussain Hyder Agha, Former President Anjuman-e-Iranian Deccan Mr Mohammed Hussain Yawari and Mir Hadi Ali paid rich tributes to Niroomand. Earlier CEO - Media Plus Syed Khaled Shahbaaz welcomed the guests and presented a documentary on Niroomand. Dr Shujath Ali Rashid convened the programme.
