Army Ordnance Corps Centre under the aegis of HQ Dakshin Bharat Area held the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally at AOC Gajraj Stadium here on Sunday.

Secunderabad: Army Ordnance Corps Centre under the aegis of HQ Dakshin Bharat Area held the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally at AOC Gajraj Stadium here on Sunday.

Many stalls were put up to facilitate and resolve grievances and issues related to pension, re-employment, rehabilitation under the latest policies and guidelines. Military Hospital Secunderabad conducted free medical and health camps for dental and medical checkup and women health issues.

Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic, Secunderabad put up a stall to create awareness in Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naaris and next of kin of the latest benefits and policies. Postal Department, Army Postal Node (APN) and SBI also put up stalls to help veterans in availing their services.

Lieutenant General RK Anand, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area inaugurated the rally by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding, Telangana & Andhra Sub Area, Lieutenant General KR Rao (Retd), former Director General Artillery, Brigadier Manish Upadhyay, Deputy GOC, Brigadier PK Sharma, Commandant, AOC Center, Colonel P Ramesh Kumar (Retd) Director, Sainik Welfare and other senior army and civil officials were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Lieutenant General said all measures are being taken to reach the ex-servicemen, veer naaris and veterans in each district to resolve their issues related to pension, documentation, medical and others.

The General Officer along with Anupama Anand, President, AWWA, DB Area felicitated sixteen veer naaris with gifts and cash awards.
