Fresh protests at Osmania University

Osmania University: Following the decision of the management to shut down hostels and messes for post-graduation students, a protest broke out in front of the Arts College, here on Wednesday.

Student activists and members of the Unemployed Joint Action Committee (JAC) burnt the effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as a part of the demonstration. Condemning the move of the varsity as unfair, students blamed that the government is also depriving them of their right to participate in the upcoming science congress by taking such extreme step.
